I’m a Jersey kid born and raised, but Savannah has been my home since 2009. For years, I climbed the corporate ladder, leading large sales teams and navigating the high-pressure world of "the 9-to-5." But deep down, I had a dream that didn't involve a cubicle.
In 2019—with a 6-year-old son at home and a healthy dose of "this is terrifying"—I finally found the courage to bet on myself. Guided by some incredible mentors and a desire to build something my son could be proud of, I walked away from the corporate world to open Get Gifty With It in the River Street Marketplace.
The Evolution of "The Gift"
We started as a new kind of gift shop: interactive, fun, and personal. You might remember our early days of Letter Art, where we turned photos of everyday objects into alphabets so people could spell out their stories. It was a hit, but as we introduced laser-engraved products, something clicked.
I saw the look on people’s faces when they saw a photo or a name etched into a high-quality gift right in front of them. It wasn't just "stuff" anymore—it was a keepsake.
Finding Our Focus
By 2023, we brought the lasers directly into the shop, offering on-site engraving that turned a shopping trip into an experience. We realized that while we loved everything we sold, our true calling was the precision, the permanence, and the "wow" factor of the laser.
In April 2025, we officially became Savannah Laser Company.
We stripped away the noise and the "gift shop clutter" to focus on one thing: providing the most intuitive, high-quality personalization experience in the South. We’ve traded the corporate sales meetings for a workshop where we create gifts that actually matter.
